Loved the calculator. Easy to order. My product was backordered, so understandably, it did take some time to receive. However, Joe in customer service kept me informed during the wait.

I needed to add a pair of gas springs to a heavy (100 pund) basement trap door. The calculator tool did a great job of selecting the springs and provided mounting info. Also important, was the pivot point load, which gave me great insight on the type of hinges needed to withstand the force. In the end, the springs worked perfectly, allowing the door to stay at any position wanted and stay closed.

I used the online calculator which is pretty intuitive but I did have a question and their team got me on the right track with mounting locations very quickly.

I tried multiple variations of springs that would suit my needs. Unfortunately none of them worked. However, I can tell you that material is strong and durable. But customer service was outstanding. Joe was fabulous. Helped me with some of the purchase and all of the returns! Great guy for that position!

I understand their security procedures for returning items other than that it was great response time and understanding on why I needed to refund the items

It took a couple of weeks to receive my parts which were indicated as "in stock". I phoned to talk to a person regarding my order and ask for someone with knowledge to assist in getting the right part. In the calls, I was left on hold for 20+ minutes and then asked to leave a message. The only response I received via email. I'm the end, I found and ordered the gas spring that should work for my application. That will be determined when the spring arrives. I would recommend this vendor; the caveat is that any support is going to be slow.

Took a couple of months for the springs to arrive but the springs and the dimensional layout drawings were great. Layed out the door and attached the springs per their drawing and it worked perfectly. Having the QR code for the drawing was a nice touch,

Have to have several emails back and forth to get the spring designed that would fit our application. Sometimes I had to call because I wasn't getting a timely response to my email.

I'm giving 3-stars since the form said that 3 stars = "normal". I love the spring calculator, really great program there that helped me a ton. Placed my order and 15 hours later realized I accidentally chose the incorrect mounting piece. Sent an email that morning asking if I could correct the order - no response. Sent another email that night - no response. Called the next day - no answer, left a message, no response. I received an email that the order had been sent and afterwards, I received an email saying that they were backed up on email and short staffed on the phones so nobody saw my request. I placed a second order for the correct part plus shipping (i guess I'll throw the wrong one away. End of the world? No. But 3.5 stars says "decent treatment and little friction" and that does not reflect my experience. TLDR: Great calculator, product as expected, non-existent customer service - would order again.

Most connectors are 10 mm. Theirs is 6. Otherwise nice shock but doesn't do any good if it won't connect. Buy from Walmart or other vender.

I had made a purchase in late March and the gas spring I needed was backordered. I waited and after a few weeks I reached out. Customer service replied to let me know they were waiting for a restock and that it would be coming soon. Ever time I contacted customer service for an update they got back in touch to let me know what they knew. As soon as they received their restock they sent out my order right away!

On their website, I was able to customize the gas springs to exactly what I needed. If you don't know what you need, their website has the tools needed to figure out what you need to satisfy your requirements. In my case, I needed to replace a pair of fine German springs that lasted 25 years (Hahn, I believe the company was) and the US distributor was out of stock for an unknown timeframe. The Gasspringsshop springs were a suitable replacement at less than half the cost.

The instructions were concise and worked well. The gas springs work amazingly. A little more guidance on the placement of the gas springs on the lid itself and bin would have helped but trial and error prevailed. 22 years lifting a heavy lid and holding it open is now made easier. This was a problem that Gasspringshop solved like a lift gate on a car. Quite a bit of research on the internet led me to them. By far the best solution. I had a heavy lid that took 2 hands of muscle to lift. It had to be held open too to avoid slamming shut Now it is a one hand lift and stays open without being held. Thank you,

The spring strut was just what I needed for a project. Ordering was easy and shipping was great. The only reason I did not give the full five star rating is because parts for the strut were not in stock and it took several weeks before they could ship the strut to me.

Had to replace heavy duty gas struts on an old European made piece of equipment. Original parts were impossible or very expensive to get. Only here could an accurate match be found at a reasonable price in just a few minutes. Thanks

Ian was so helpful and patient assisting me in choosing the perfect two struts and hardware for my 300 lb storm cellar hatch! Installed them as expected and they operate perfectly. Could not have been any better.
