My hatch project involved using only 1 piston set on one side (not in center of hatch) so I wasn't exactly sure if I was correctly utilizing their really nice calculator - https://www.gasspringsshop.com/gas-spring-calculator/ . They were able to help me directly to arrive at a solution including necessary parts which they stock. They were able to respond in a timely manner. We sourced our gas springs through GasSpringShop for our Grill and Chill outdoor BBQ pod build and could not be happier with the experience. The selection was exactly what we needed and finding the right spec for our fold down door application was straightforward. The product arrived quickly and the quality exceeded our expectations for the application. Installation was simple and the shock performs exactly as described holding the door, both open and closed, firmly in place. We will absolutely be ordering from GasSpringShop again as we scale our pod production.

It was good. I just wish they would offer next day shipping air.

Twice now I've ordered springs and forks and each time the forks were out of stock and none of my order shipped. The first time I could not get in touch with anyone, emails went unanswered and no one answered the phone. The second time I did get a response via email and the issue was worked out quickly (canceled the forks, shipped the springs). I would give more stars if they sent out an email notification that your order was not shipping due to limited stock and then next replenishment shipment from their vendor was not due for several weeks. That said, you can get springs faster than they can be made by another company and in a range of sizes and newtons, so kudos for that.

I tried several times to figure this out for a project and failed each time. Your online tool was easy to use and got the measurements correct the first time along with the recommend parts list and instructions. Awesome!

I lost two of the eye bolts on the end of the gas struts for a murphy bed during a home move. The company who made the bed never bothered to reply to my inquiries about getting replacement parts (the struts are fine, just needed the end pieces). Fortunately, I found the Gas Spring Shop online and was able to find the parts I needed. I placed my order and within a couple of weeks received the parts, which fit and work great. These are high quality stainless steel parts that were less than $4 each. I was amazed to actually find them at a fair price, and not have to replace the entire struts. I'm very happy with the ordering, purchasing and shipping processes as well as the parts themselves.

Placed order 15 days ago. No updates on order status. When I go to my order tab it does not register. Confirmation email shows the order was received and placed.

I needed a replacement “shock” for an old Thule trailer. Matched the part number from the OEM part, added the replacement end caps, and received my parts in less than a week. And at a very fair price point. A very good experience.

I left a message with the customer service team with my phone number and email but never got a response.

Loved the calculator. Easy to order. My product was backordered, so understandably, it did take some time to receive. However, Joe in customer service kept me informed during the wait.

I needed to add a pair of gas springs to a heavy (100 pund) basement trap door. The calculator tool did a great job of selecting the springs and provided mounting info. Also important, was the pivot point load, which gave me great insight on the type of hinges needed to withstand the force. In the end, the springs worked perfectly, allowing the door to stay at any position wanted and stay closed.

I used the online calculator which is pretty intuitive but I did have a question and their team got me on the right track with mounting locations very quickly.

We got our parts quickly. Exactly what we wanted for a decent price.

I tried multiple variations of springs that would suit my needs. Unfortunately none of them worked. However, I can tell you that material is strong and durable. But customer service was outstanding. Joe was fabulous. Helped me with some of the purchase and all of the returns! Great guy for that position!

I understand their security procedures for returning items other than that it was great response time and understanding on why I needed to refund the items

It took a couple of weeks to receive my parts which were indicated as "in stock". I phoned to talk to a person regarding my order and ask for someone with knowledge to assist in getting the right part. In the calls, I was left on hold for 20+ minutes and then asked to leave a message. The only response I received via email. I'm the end, I found and ordered the gas spring that should work for my application. That will be determined when the spring arrives. I would recommend this vendor; the caveat is that any support is going to be slow.

Took a couple of months for the springs to arrive but the springs and the dimensional layout drawings were great. Layed out the door and attached the springs per their drawing and it worked perfectly. Having the QR code for the drawing was a nice touch,
